Kurumi glass is made from the ash of walnut shells, leaving a nostalgic, light green tint to the surface of the glass. It is a beautiful piece of glassware that can be used everyday.

"Daidai" which means orange color and also “from generation to generation”, in hopes that their unique Kurumi glass will be passed on to the generations to come.
DAIDAI opened in 1999 as a glassblowing studio of Masaki Teranishi and his wife Makiko located in Unnojuku in Tomi, Nagano prefecture, Japan, which is known for top walnut production in the country. To make their trademark Kurumi (walnut) glass, walnut ashes are combined with sand and other ingredients, creating a subtle and soft green color. Piece by piece, Masaki makes one-of-a-kind handmade glassware for everyday use that gives the new owners a soft and warm feeling.
Caution:
Not heat-resistant glass.
Do not pour boiling water or serve hot food in a dish or bowl, may cause the glass to break.
Do not use a microwave, oven, or dishwasher.
Do not use metal scrubbers or abrasive materials as they may cause scratches.
Do not poke the glass from the inside with cutlery, or put ice cubes into the glass vigorously, as they may break upon impact.

Since all products are handmade, the bubbles, line thickness, and spacing are not exactly even. Please note that the size of each piece may vary from 5mm to 1cm.
Colors may differ slightly from the originals depending on your PC, browser, or monitor.

Care:

Wash the glass with a soft sponge and mild detergent.
After washing, wipe off any water droplets with a dry cloth.
Depending on the quality of the water in your area, water stains may remain on the glass.
