Oya Stone

Japanese natural stone

Oya stone is a precious finite Japanese stone material that can only be mined in the Oya district of Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture in Japan. Because it is light and soft, it is easy to process and has excellent fire resistance, it has been widely used in Japanese houses and KURA such as Japanese-style warehouses. In 1922, Oya Stone was also used in the former Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, which was famous for the design of American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, and the name of Oya stone and its recognition as a building material spread nationwide.

Please feel close to Oya stone's heavy but soft and warm texture, the excellent effect of enriching your life, and the charm that combines both the ancient setting and the modern sensation.
