We IPPIN PROJECT are Japanese Material Showroom / Homegood Retail that partners with Japanese makers and manufacturers. 

We are seeking a wholesale/trade commission-only salesperson to become an integral part of our team!

Opening Position:

wholesale/trade salesperson / commission-only sales representatives - Flexible

FLSA Status: Contract / Partnership

 

You will be responsible for selling products, merchandise, and services as a route salesperson. We are specialized in Japanese design home goods and interior materials.

The Sales Consultant will professionally represent the IPPIN PROJECT partner's product line with B2B clients.

This job requires a physically present at our store in Industry City Brooklyn NY once a month for a monthly sale meeting.  The Ideal candidate will also need to be able to work at least once a week.

 

We will only consider candidates that are able to meet these criteria.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and identify customer needs

  • Master Product details and applications

  • Explain products and services to customers

  • Enter and process customer orders

  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints

  • Process customer transactions using a POS system

  • Receiving shipments for retail products

  • Creating monthly sales reports

  • Efficiently maintain a high level of account management and follow-ups

  • Schedule meetings or showroom events with clients/potential clients

  • Assist walk-ins and incoming calls from potential clients

  • Accurately enter data into the company website

  • Effectively manage and maintain accurate reports such as (Daily sales reports,& lead reports)

  • Meet or exceed sales goals

  • Work with design teams.

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 40 lbs.
    This position requires the ability to lift and carry without assistance, merchandise and packages weighing up to 40 pounds.

     

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Outgoing, professional, and self-motivated is a must

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Website, Social Media Management / Showroom Assistant - Part-time, Freelance, Contract

We are seeking Website and Social Media Management Assistant. Our ideal candidate should be willing to learn Japanese culture and traditional crafts & its techniques and be a part of our team.

This job requires a physically present at our store in Industry City Brooklyn NY.  The Ideal candidate will also need to be able to work at least one work shift during the weekend Saturday or Sunday.

IPPIN PROJECT: Website, Digital & Social Content

Non-Exempt/Part-Time or Contract, Freelance


Description:

Our Web & Social Media Assistant will contribute to and support the daily or weekly updates for our Website, Digital & Social Content. The ideal candidate has an in-depth understanding of how social media impacts business operations.
 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative content for our Brand and Store utilizing a strong understanding of Instagram and its trends

  • Contribute to daily social media postings, including copywriting, photo & video editing, and content tracking

  • Assist with community management on social platforms, including responding to direct messages and fan questions

  • Social media monitoring

  • Assist with social media analytics and data tracking

  • Create website content including copywriting, product descriptions, & photo editing.

  • SEO update, Accurately enter data into the company website

  • Weekly website update

  • Work with showroom salespersons and design teams to help with their work.

  • Must be available at least one day Thursday - Sunday, 10 am-6 pm.
     

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Master Product details and applications

  • Explain products and services to customers

  • Process customer transactions using a POS system

  • Enter and process customer orders

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior experience working in social media is preferred but not required

  • Excellent understanding and comprehension of main social platforms, including, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube,& Google.

  • A college degree is preferred but not required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs

  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects, PowerPoint, illustrator preferred but not required.

  • Proven ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information

  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail

  • Flexible work schedule and, including possibly weekends.

  • Fluency in English

  • Fluency in Japanese is a plus

  • Outgoing, professional, and self-motivated is a must
     

The hourly rate for this role is DOE.
