It features a contemporary design that’s a quite different from the traditional image of a Tetsubin. Its stylish look makes it a perfect match for a modern kitchen. It’s just the right size for enjoying tea alone or for serving guests. Cast iron teapots are highly valued for their excellent heat retention, allowing you to enjoy warm tea for a long time. This makes it an ideal choice not only for your own use but also as a thoughtful gift.

Instructions

Before using the iron kettle for the first time, fill it with water up to about 80% of its full capacity and heat it over medium flame until it comes to a boil. Be sure not to heat the kettle while it is empty. Once the water reaches a boil, discard it. Repeat this process two to three times, or until the drained water becomes clear.

After each use, make sure to empty the kettle completely and keep it dry. Do not leave water sitting inside. Let the residual heat dry the interior naturally, or wipe it dry. If moisture still remains, remove the lid and gently heat the empty kettle for about 30 seconds to allow the remaining water to evaporate.

This iron kettle is intended solely for boiling water. Avoid touching or scrubbing the interior, as it forms a natural mineral coating over time, known as scale, which helps protect the kettle and enhances the quality of the water.

To clean the exterior, wipe it with a damp cloth while the kettle is still warm. If the kettle has already cooled down, use a dry cloth instead. Due to the nature of the casting process, each kettle may have slight individual differences in appearance.

As you continue using the kettle, you may notice some red rust forming inside. Over time, this rust often turns white. This is a natural characteristic of iron and is completely harmless—in fact, it contributes to purifying the water. Do not scrub off the rust, as doing so may shorten the kettle's lifespan. If the boiled water becomes cloudy or develops an unpleasant smell, fill the kettle with water up to about 80% of its capacity, add a green tea bag, and boil it for 30 minutes.
