Oya Stone originates from volcanic ash-like material from a volcanic eruption millions of years ago, where it was deposited into seawater and solidified. It is a very rare stone produced only in the Oya district of Utsunomiya City, Japan, and since, has been used in various ways.
 
The textures depend on the various processing methods and can be molded into any shape. The stone itself has properties that maintain a comfortable humidity level in rooms and a very strong deodorizing effect that creates a highly relaxing quality space.
